Biography

Having worked as a feature director, producer, writer, editor and actor, Garrett Brawith has accumulated a wealth of experience working in independent film, television and commercial markets. His latest movie “Poolboy, Drowning Out The Fury” is premiering at the 2011 Cannes film market in a prime time slot.


 


In 2010, Garrett directed, produced, edited and created the visual effects for 3 feature films and numerous shorts, working with stars like Danny Trejo (Machete, Predators), Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Andromeda), Barry Bostwick (Spin City), Jason Mewes (Jay from Jay and Silent Bob), Jada Pinkett-Smith, Curtis Armstrong (Ray), William Mapother (Lost, Another Earth) and Ray Wise (24). His films feature, almost exclusively, recognizable actors as well as below the line talent like cinematographer David Hardberger (Lord Of The Rings, Final Destination).

Beginning as an actor and editor, he learned the pieces that make the puzzle of a film work and the elements that make it a lucrative property. From 2006 to 2007 he was on staff for Overbrook Entertainment (CEO’s Will Smith and Jada Pinkett) as a video producer, director and editor and spent 18 months producing, directing and editing video for MyReel productions, a busy Los Angeles production company.

Concurrently, Garrett was a working actor, having appearrred on shows such as Dexter, Judging Amy, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and The Pretender, appeared in many commercials, including two Superbowl campaigns and starred in many independent films including the Prism award winning “Rolling” and Lionsgate’s “Diary of a Serial Killer”.

He currently resides in Los Angeles.
